      ...

      I get:

      $ sudo journalctl -u fr24uat-feed -n 25 | sed 's/ / /'
      Mar 06 22:20:01 pi4 fr24feed[3126]: [feed][n]ping 36
      Mar 06 22:20:02 pi4 fr24feed[3126]: [feed][n]syncing stream result: 1
      Mar 06 22:20:31 pi4 fr24feed[3126]: [feed][n]ping 37
      Mar 06 22:20:32 pi4 fr24feed[3126]: [feed][n]syncing stream result: 1
      Mar 06 22:21:01 pi4 fr24feed[3126]: [feed][n]ping 38
      Mar 06 22:21:02 pi4 fr24feed[3126]: [feed][n]syncing stream result: 1

So, it looks like I may be running, but just not getting any UAT flights? Being less than five miles from KSDL and 15 from KDVT and 20 miles from KPHX, I was thinking there would be a lot of UAT flights.

May be your dump978-fr24 is not producing any output due to bad dongle, or bad antenna cable connection, or wrong configuration. If your pi is tunning both adsb and ust with 2 dongles, then proper serializing of donhles may be required.

I am running two different Pi's and so two different dongles. I did serialize the dongle anyway and refer to it by that number, just to make sure. Could be the antenna... I'll go down that path next. I appreciate all your help. I'll give it a few days to see if it is just a string of bad luck on no aircraft coming over. I'll also look to see if I may not be in KSDL's airspace such that everyone coming within range is likely to have ADS-B. Thanks again. I won't give up quite yet!

You can monitor summary of aircraft signals received and their decoded data sent to FR24 by following command

            Code:
             sudo journalctl -u fr24uat-feed | grep -w "AC"

Screenshot below shows the response I got from above command

I'm here asking for a quick once-over on my UAT setup.
Yesterday I had 8, today 0 with "no data". I have no errors in the logs either. I've run rtl_test and confirmed it's on the right dongle and there are no errors. sudo systemctl status dump978-fr24 also shows the correct dongle and no errors. I rechecked the connectors and the antenna. I know the sawbird is working on the 1090 side, it's doubled my reception range. I'm unwilling to accept what I'm seeing though.

FWIW, I'm seeing the same output as those (abcd and Paul) that posted between my last two posts. This makes me wonder if it's a dump978-fr24 issue.

                  Try this command

                  Code:
                  sudo journalctl -u fr24uat-feed | grep -w "AC"

If your system (antenna+coax cable+dongle+dump978-fr24) is working OK, then you will see the output similar to that shown in screenshot below

Yes, that's exactly what I see. I even went around torquing connectors yesterday just to be certain it was working.

If your output is large number lines with

                      sent number,number AC
                      (for example: sent 3,5 AC)

Then your system is receing signals from Aicraft, decoding these signals, and sending decoded data to FR24 server.

In spite of above, if your site statistics show no data received, then it is problem of FR24 server. You cannot solve it from your end, it is FR24 who have to solve it.

I have a similar problem. Looks like dump978-fr24 is working fine but I am not receiving any data. I live on a fairly active airpark, with many ADS-B Out equipped aircraft arrivals and departures. Today, I have seen at least 4 airplanes that I know they have ADS-B out, yet none of those were detected. The two SDRs are serialized, and properly recognized by their respective dumps. 1090 is working and feeding just fine. Just UAT is detecting nothing.

I have a different antenna arriving today, so I will test the hypothesis that it is the antenna.

                              Same.

I spent a few hours last night looking at it and logs. I found some issues with my setup but they were all unrelated. Right now it's saying it's attempting to connect to 185.218.24.53 but that site is not pinging back. I can mtr / traceroute all the way to the hop before it.
