Hello fellow flight enthusiasts. I discovered this forum today, and decided to join, to try and seek opinions about the very curious and almost erratic flight path that was being flown right up until this moment, midnight GMT, November 28th, 2016, just north of Kailua Beach Park on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu, over the mountains from Honolulu.
The aircraft, which just landed, was a Hawker Hunter corporate jet with registration N323AX, flying extremely tight circles, with his vertical speed changing rapidly from steep climbs to very steep dives that are completely different from anything I have ever seen outside of an airshow. Can anyone shed any light on what that pilot is up to out there off the north coast of Oahu Island today ?

Thanks for the response Bosio. It is good to note that the flight pattern traced by that Hawker jet was regarded as odd even to experienced observers such as yourself. Those steep and seemingly random climbs and dives, all while rolling the jet into extreme bank angles to maintain those multiple tight circular flight paths, had me scratching my head fer sure.
I need to get a paying subscription to flightradar24, so I can post screenshots when weird things transpire in the skies above us.
