Yeah, it must be that plane. Then I have misunderstood where it flew. After looking in flightradar more than 1 year, this was the first time I followed some accident online.

    sorry , not accident , but incident ( ed. rem. Ulf/Scanhorse )

if you search Avherald on Lufthansa and Frankfurt

Otherwise it is not reported as an incident

    Emergency landing at Christchurch airport

    Sat, 15 Oct 2011 4:20p.m.

An aircraft with 38 people on board made an emergency landing at Christchurch after its computer wrongly indicated a landing gear malfunction.
The Air Chathams flight landed without incident at Christchurch Airport around 11.30am on Saturday.
An ambulance spokeswoman said the fault was apparently with the computer, not the landing gear.
Christchurch Airport went on full alert during the emergency with Ambulance and Fire Service staff on stand-by.
Engineers were evaluating the aircraft, an airport spokeswoman said.

Plane lands on engine at Turkish airport

    By AP
    Published Monday, October 10, 2011
An official says a plane carrying 156 people scraped along the runway on its engine at a Turkish airport after its landing gear collapsed. No one was injured.
Mehmet Yavuz, deputy governor of the southern province of Antalya, says the gear of the Sky Airlines flight from Baden Baden, Germany, broke at landing at Antalya Airport on Monday. The Boeing plane tipped onto its right engine as it continued down the runway and eventually came to a halt.
Yavuz says no one was injured and other flights at the airport were not affected.
It was not clear why the landing gear collapsed. Sky Airlines was not available for comment.

Hole size of basketball , through Uk home by 'ice from plane'

Hole size of basketball punched through Bush Hill Park home by 'ice from plane'

A WOMAN got the fright of her life when she found ice falling from an aircraft had smashed through the roof of her home and into her bedroom.
Marcia Fordjour came back from work last week to find a hole bigger than a basketball in her roof and bedroom ceiling.
Smashed roof tiles, insulation, and broken plasterboard were scattered across the room, along with several chunks of ice.
Ms Fordjour believes ice from an aircraft overhead is the only explanation for the damage to her home, in St Mark's Road.

A WOMAN got the fright of her life when she found ice falling from an aircraft had smashed through the roof of her home and into her bedroom.

The phenomenon of falling ice is relatively rare in the UK, although there have been reports of buildings, cars, and even people which have been hit.

The Civil Aviation Authority says most ice from aircrafts melts before it reaches the ground,
but there are, on average, two reports a year of falling ice.

Japan grounds F-15 jets after fuel tank falls off in air

    The Associated Press
Date: Saturday Oct. 8, 2011 7:51 AM ET
TOKYO — Japan has grounded its F-15 fighters for the second time in three months after a fuel tank and parts of a mock missile fell off a jet on a training mission, officials said Saturday.
Japan Air Self-Defence Force officials said that the flight suspension involves all missions except emergency scrambles and will last until the safety of Japan's 202 F-15 fighters has been confirmed.
No one was injured in Friday's incident near Komatsu base in western Japan and the pilot landed safely. In July, Japan's F-15s were grounded after one of the jets crashed into the East China Sea.
The latest incident comes as Tokyo is moving ahead to replace its aging fighters.
The 350-pound (155-kilogram) tank, which was empty, and parts of the dummy missile detached and fell from the plane as it was nearing the field for landing. The debris fell on 10 locations, including a sewage plant.

June 2009, Jetstar flight from Osaka to Australia diverted to Guam after cockpit fire

    SYDNEY —
A fire that forced an Australian Airbus jet to make an emergency landing was sparked by a windscreen heating system, air accident investigators said Friday.
The revelation of the cause of the blaze that erupted in the cockpit of an A330 jet, leading to an unscheduled landing on the Pacific island of Guam in June 2009, could force European operators to change the faulty windshields.
The Jetstar airliner, carrying around 200 people, was en route from Osaka to Australia’s Gold Coast when the fire broke out at the base of a windshield on the flight deck.
