Spotted this B757 operated by TAG Aviation doing circuits around Uluru today on its way from Sydney to Bali. Not quite in the same league but I was once on board an Ansett jet that couldn't land at Alice Springs because a huge freighter plane was parked on the runway so we had to do circuits for about half an hour waiting for it to move.
