  • Lat/Lon showing as N/A

Just installed f224feed on RPI. Service status looks good...

    [ ok ] FR24 Feeder/Decoder Process: running.
    [ ok ] FR24 Stats Timestamp: 2015-10-13 19:14:05.
    [ ok ] FR24 Link: connected [UDP].
    [ ok ] FR24 Radar: T-ZBTJ19.
    [ ok ] FR24 Tracked AC: 13.
    [ ok ] Receiver: connected (193965 MSGS/0 SYNC).
    [ ok ] FR24 MLAT: ok [UDP].
    [ ok ] FR24 MLAT AC seen: 12.

However the tracked aircraft list shows no position data for any aircraft...

I think those are MODE-S only planes. So they are not equiped with ADS-B so they don't transmit position.
    Check other planes.....

I guess that makes sense, although it seems odd that there are so few ads-b equipped planes out there. So far I've seen no positions.

And... the online stats seem to agree that there have been no planes with a position...

I just randomly checked few from your list....
I see that you are in the area of Tianjin International where "ADS-B traffic" is present...so maybe you should check your antenna to improve range.

Actually no... I'm in about 30miles north of Los Angeles. Still have seen no aircraft with a position. Thinking about it a little more I believe there must be some kind of installation issue...

          [ ok ] FR24 Tracked AC: 13.
          [ ok ] FR24 MLAT AC seen: 12.

This snippet from the service status would imply to me that there should be 1 aircraft reporting a position on ADS-B and 12 with just Mode S.

          Yes/no?

If an installation issue where to start?

This is Tianjin International airport in China and you entered nearby position on instalation.
That is a reason why you cannot see any traffic.
FR24 software limits range. If range is exceeded planes are not shown. I don't think that any receiver has range from China to LA
Contact support and ask them to change your radar position to correct one

Bingo. Don't forget the minus sign on the longitude. Should look something like 33.xxxx lat, -118.xxxx lon.

You can try to reconfigure your LAT/LON position, type the following command and enter your sharing key #: sudo fr24feed --reconfigure --fr24key=0123456789ABCDEF

                  Dear all,

I'm using a VRS with a fr24 feeder on windows. On the VRS the aircraft is always and continues visible, on the "aircraft feeder tack list" my plane sometimes appear with lat and long and after some seconds they disappear (most of the times they appear when the plane is on ground). Of course when they became N/A the aircraft disappear also from FR24.
Just for information the antenna is on the airport, then really close to the plane.
                  What can be the problem?
