  • Almost Permanent Red GPS LED on FR24 Receiver

The GPS LED keeps flashing red on my FR24 supplied receiver box. The antenna is mounted outside on a 45deg roof facing south at my location (57N). What could be the cause? Also as the receiver is at a fixed location why is a GPS signal required on a constant basis?

Something with the antenna/wire might be bad. FR24 could send you another GPS antenna.

GPS is used to keep the clock to the correct time on the FR24 box.

Thank you. How do I request a new antenna? Would it be possible to get an extra plug to allow the cable to be shortened?

This is a software fault. Just reboot the receiver and wait for a good fix.

Thank you that appears to have fixed it. I am now getting the 1Hz green GPS LED light with only one red seen so far.
