  • Missing aircraft info

I noticed several times that some info is missing in the aircraft box on the left hand side (e.g. ICAO address, call sign).

Take for example this one (see attachment 1):

    Aircraft(C56X)
    Cessna 560XL Citation Excel
    Altitude: 41,000 ft
    Vertical Speed: 0 fpm
    Speed: 464 kt
    Track: 132°
    Latitude: 49.6489
    Longitude: 7.2067
    Radar: T-ETAR2
    Squawk: 3136

    Dump1090 provides the required information:

    *a8001e252038a179c75360cb2fc6;
    CRC: 491316 (ok)
    DF 21: Comm-B, Identity Reply.
    Flight Status : Normal, Airborne
    DR : 0
    UM : 0
    Squawk : 3136
    ICAO Address : 491316
    Comm-B BDS : 20
    BDS 2,0 Aircraft Identification : NJE915M

If you try to search the FR24 aviation database for 491316 a hint is shown (see attachment 2):

    CS-DXV - 491316 - Netjets Europe - Cessna 560XLS Citation Excel (560-5782)

But the search does not yield any result.

So it seems to me that all necessary information is somehow available but it isn't displayed.

Its a private aircraft that is listed on the ASDI blocking list.

It is FR24s responsibility to uphold this list and not show registrations.

      Thanks for the info, Oblivian.

But the aircraft is registered in Portugal (CS-DXV) to a European company (Netjets Europe) and not to a private owner. So how can US/FAA rules apply in this case?

NetJets is a company that owns and rents out a lot of private jets, in some cases officially 'owning' jets to give a cover for the actual owner.

FR24 also has it's own block list they use and the ASDI blocking list.

So it must be on the FR24 block list.

Looks like I misunderstood this blocking feature. I thought it meant that an aircraft doesn't show up on the FR24 maps at all.

            Thanks to all answering.

It is the case for high security/sensitivity ones. But others are on a basic hide-registration basis. Which still allows us to see them, but not know the use or who is potentially in them
