I have read through this thread and am somewhat confused. Are the original instructions still valid (I am interested in Option A) or are there modifications needed? It seems that there are a number of people that have reported some problems but it is unclear to me if that is with the first 2 options or the manual install. I apologize in advance but I am a newcomer to this hobby!

Options A, B, and C are still valid.

With option A and B during configiration, you have to choose:
    RECEIVER: DVB-T

With option C during configuration, you have to choose any one of the following two settings.
    (1) Receiver : AVR(TCP), HOST/IP:30002
    (2) Receiver: Beast (TCP), HOST/IP:30005

    NOTE:
The Option D (manual install of dump1090) and method to install dump1090-mutability are out-dated. Please do not use these. I will either update or totally remove these in next few days.

    Abcd567,

Thank you so much for your reply. If I do need to troubleshoot I will know that I at least started off on the right foot.

Thank you for the great tutorial step by step.
How do you make fr24feed run in Raspberry automatically after boot?
I'm running the UBUNTU mate on my RSP3.

Fr24feed starts automatically at boot. You dont have to do anything.

Fr24feed installs and runs smoothly on Ubuntu Mate for Pi, Raspbian Jessie & Raspbian Stretch on Pi2 & Pi3. Installation method of fr24feed for both Ubuntu and Raspbian are identical.

To check if fr24feed is running and working ok, give following command
    Code:
    fr24feed-status
If you want to start/restart it manually, give following command
    Code:
    sudo systemctl restart fr24feed

Oh sorry, did not know that as for other applications I had to add a line for automatically boot with the Raspberry.
Only one more quick question... I have entered the latitude and longitude for MLAT. However I do not find anywhere the values I entered for both latitude and longitude.
How can I confirm that information is correctly stored?

Many thanks for your great support!

To check your coordinates saved at FR24
    1. Go to site http://www.flightradar24.com
    2. Login to your account.
    3. Click tab "My data sharing"
    4. On the stats page, click "show statistics".
    5. On the Statistics page click eye symbol below "coordinates". You can view/adjust coordinates

    Thank you again!
For some reason the coordinates I entered did not match the coordinates I found on FR24 website in "My data sharing". I've now updated them.

I performed an update to my Raspberry Pi. During the FlightRadar24 update, something must have gone wrong, and the feeder won't work now.

So, I started from scratch, following the instructions at the beginning of this thread: sudo bash -c "$(wget -O - ..."

It went through the entire installation. I followed the instructions on what to enter, again as discussed at the beginning of this thread. But, I got this:

Job for fr24feed.service failed. See 'systemctl status fr24feed.service' and 'journalctl -xn' for details.

To try to help diagnose this, here are the results of the following commands:

    pi@raspberrypi:~ $ service fr24feed status
    ● fr24feed.service - Flightradar24 Decoder & Feeder
    Loaded: loaded (/etc/systemd/system/fr24feed.service; enabled)
Active: activating (start-pre) since Fri 2018-03-16 19:39:45 CDT; 17s ago

    pi@raspberrypi:~ $ journalctl -xn

I don't know what to do to fix things, and need help.

Thank you for whatever assistance you can offer!
