  • Sharing Key

I have been feeding data for a few weeks now. I'm using Raspberry Pi as the hardware. plus the FR24 feeder software.
I now see an update for the software is available to download. FR24 requires the Sharing Key in order to update. Somehow I have misplaced it. I think it's located in the Linux program on the the Pi, but can't seem to find it.
    Can someone help?

You have sharing key in command for starting feeder don't you?
    FR24AUTHIP=83.140.247.20 ./fr24feed_arm-le_241s --fr24key=YOUR_SHARING_KEY
    or similar

Where would see this statement? I'm using a Raspberry Pi, not Windows.

I see this when I run status.

      pi@raspberrypi ~ $ service fr24feed status
      [ ok ] FR24 Feeder/Decoder Process: running.
      [ ok ] FR24 Stats Timestamp: 2015-02-20 17:02:55.
      [ ok ] FR24 Link: connected [UDP].
      [ ok ] FR24 Radar: T-KVNY4.
      [ ok ] FR24 Tracked AC: 15.
      [ ok ] Receiver: connected (704747 MSGS/0 SYNC).

And this when I run log

      pi@raspberrypi /var/log $ tail -f fr24feed.log

By just plugging 5 volts into the Raspberry Pi. A USB cable feeds the RTL-SDR dongle. A CAT 5 cable plugd into my router. I have the ability to SSH into the PI, but that's after the full boot. You gave me an idea. I'll look at the boot using my HDMI monitor. I might see the Key there. Let you know.

            donde1,

If you don't provide a sharing key, an option should come up something like 'forgotten your sharing key?' to which if you respond 'yes' then it will automatically start the process, if you've been uploading in the past. I recently experienced this when I updated the feeder software.

            Regards,
            Gregg

OK I'll start the update process and see what happens. I looked all over the file system, could not find it. I have a ticket into flightradar24 support. They'll probably say the same thing.
              Thanks,
              Don

                Don,

If you have contacted support they will be able to help but it may take a short time as they have a priority system for responding to issues requiring support's help. They have to as FR24 is world-wide and they need their beauty sleep at times, as do I.

                  Gregg,

No problem. All is working fine and I suspect the changes might be not enough to worry about. Maybe I should have added to topic:
Raspberry Pi and Lost Key. I can't believe I didn't save it somewhere, and where is it in the file system. More frustrating than anything else.
