    29 october plane forced to land at stansted by fighter jets

    Looks like FR24 made the news again regarding this flight too.

    Seems the pilot just lost his radios... it does happen and a good reason why every pilot should always bring along a portable VHF.

    Less then $200 and you have an Aviation COM/NAV, VOR and an ILS transceiver in the palm of your hand.

    if you read the article it says it was now confirmed that the aircraft had dialled into the wrong frequency when trying to contact UK airspace.
    so bringing along a portable device wouldnt help ..he made an error ! oops
    ps how did that person manage to hear the raf order it to land ? and i guess that persons twitter account was terminated by order of raf to twitter yes ??
    arere there any twitter accounts to follow that listen to air traffic control you can recomend please ?
