Hi!
I have an idea.
Combining flightradar24 data with astronomical data, an alert service could be created: hey, watch out, cause in 5 minutes, from your vantage point, plane XYZ is going to pass in front of or very close to the Sun/Moon/other celestial object. Note that calsky has a service alerting ISS transits for example.
Flightradar24 has all the flight data needed. These data could be projected to the very near future (a few minutes) to estimate Alt-AZ coords of the plane (assuming for ex. that it moves straight). Comparing these projected data to astronomical objects' projected position should be trivial. And then an alert gets triggered if a close match is found.
Searched through the forum and keywords like "moon pass", "moon transit"/"moon tranzit" returned no results.
If interested, I can help code this alert system (cause I am interested)
In the meanwhile allow me to share some of my related photos - which would be more numerous had this alert existed
