  • Qantas shake-up: Pilots offered redundancies as part of airline's $2b cost reduction

Qantas is seeking voluntary redundancies from its pilots for the first time in history, as the struggling airline shrinks its fleet in a bid to cut costs.
The ABC understands Qantas is seeking about 100 redundancies from the 550 pilots who fly Boeing 747 and 767 planes.
The losses are part of the 5,000 job cuts the airline announced in February, after posting a half-year loss of $235 million.
