  • Ground vehicles

I wanted to ask, if FR24 could also decode ground vehicles and display them.
Many airports have equipped their fleet with ADS-B transponders.

... and Mike has explained elsewhere why it is difficult to add a ground vehicle icon. If I can find the post, I'll add the link.

In FR24 receivers (F-) ground signals are blocked. And also for N- receivers i guess. But T- radars do show them. Even when vehicles are leaving the airport on the highways.
T-EHAM39 seems to be an internal receiving network which is feeding to FR24. The same radar is showing ground vehicles at Paris.
However it appears to be offline now. Maybe only enabled for the Nuclear Security Summit?

The ground signals visible on EHAM are coming from my FR24 receiver connected to VRS and then fr24feed.exe

Note: T-EHAM39 had way better reception, really all vehicles were visible. My coverage isn't bad, but not all are visible.

          T-EHAM39 is on air/line again.

T-EHAM39 is also picking up the ground signals at EHRD/RTM (Rotterdam).
Which means a network feed is running at EHAM/EHRD/LFPG/LFPO or RTM is picked up by the Schiphol (EHAM) tower and the receiver is sharing from there.
Which ever it is, it's bloody awesome!

Auckland Airport AKL / NZAA has some ground vehicles travelling around. Picked up by T-NZAA8. AWYS-Airways, ARPT-Airport and RESQ. You do see them driving on public roads every so often too.

EHAM is interesting as the vehicles are even entered in to the FR24 database..e.g. :
              484205 KV3 Bird Control Unit
              48420A C5 Apron Control
              484243 MT MartinAir KLM Tug
              4846C4 Fuel12 Fuel Delivery vehicle
              484217 AMBU2 Ambulance2
wonder how they made their way into the database..

once GNDVH are identified, a symbol can be added too..

T-EHAM39 is now visible at RTM/EHRD and LHR/EGLL, ground signals! (And still at CDG/LFPG and ORY/LFPO.)
Look like the ground signals from AMS/EHAM are not 'connected' now.

I am really curious of what T-EHAM39 is.

Update: T-EHAM39 also picks up low traffic from GRQ/EHGG now.

I know it's easy to share data from world wide receivers and merge them into one with VRS. But T-EHAM39 always does the rare ground signals and insane ranges. Weird.

                    (GND > CND typo?)

Ah, while typing this at 16:20 UTC the ATC controller asked the pilot to change it. FR24 is delayed, but in VRS it's changed.
                    FR24 also updated now.

T-EHAM52 has joined providing ground signals at EHAM.

T-EHAM53 seems to have replaced all previous ground receiver(s) at EHAM.

T-EHAM39 no longer online as well... keeping an eye out.

                            Always Radar T-EHAM2. Really weird.

Both T-EHAM53 and T-EHAM39 no longer online.
(Doing my best to cover some ground signals with T-EHAM7, but nothing compared to onsite receivers.)
