Driving passed the airport this afternoon I spotted an unusual visitor to the Western Isles, a DC3 parked on the apron in front of the hanger on the airfield.
On closer inspection, and not too close as you can see from the photo taken with my mobile (the only camera I had available so sorry for the poor quality ), it was marked as "Froissair" on the nose but with not visible side registration.
I did a search when I got home I think it's N431HM (Mode S: A52790) as all the photos match this aircraft but I've not go this one in my logs so I can't be 100% sure, unless it doesn't carry a transponder? I did find images of it taken at West Midlands Airport on 31st July though.
Being here is Stornoway, I can only assume it's heading back to the U.S, most likely via Iceland, Greenland and on the Canadian East Coast.
