  • Jamaica's hotting up for Swedish travellers this winter with two new direct flights

Jamaica, home to rum and reggae, is set to welcome many more Scandinavian travellers this winter with the introduction of two new, direct flights from Stockholm Arlanda Airport to Montego Bay through the tour operators Ving and Fritidsresor.

From 23 November 2013 until 15 March 2014, holidaymakers choosing to travel with Ving will be able to fly direct into Montego Bay airport on the fortnightly flight which will depart on a Saturday. Ving also offers a range of hotels for visitors looking to book accommodation for 14 nights, including Couples Negril, Sandals Montego Bay and Iberostar Rose Hall.

Fritidsresor will also begin a fortnightly flight departing on a Monday from 16 December 2013 to 10 March 2014, which will offer travellers flying from Stockholm a second direct flight into Montego Bay and six hotels to choose from.

Elizabeth Fox, Regional Director in the UK and Northern Europe for the Jamaica Tourist Board says, “Jamaica is the ideal destination for Swedish holidaymakers, offering a combination of year-round sunshine and award-winning beaches coupled with a vibrant culture and a wealth of attractions. We’re very pleased to welcome these two new, direct flights which will allow visitors leaving Stockholm to enjoy Jamaica’s warm hospitality and a rum punch on the beach within 12 hours of departure.”
