Single Runway 07 ops at YSSY (Sydney) at the moment wont help the issue if it continues when peak hour fires up (the 'twin' runways arent suitable due to the wind direction at present) (16:00 local).
Still plenty of holding into YSSY at the moment with rwy 07 still in use. (17:40 local)
Some aircraft are now discussing diverting to Canberra (YSCB to the south) or elsewhere with ATC (19:15 local)

Notice to ADMIN:
I appreciate the need to keep the forum tidy but why you'd move one of my posts on the victorian bushfires and stick it in amongst the Queensland flood crisis (some of which have also been moved) seems to defy all logic. We're in the middle of an on-going flood crisis here and it seems it's more important to do housekeeping than it is to keep ppl informed and updated. It also makes it impossible to get an idea on how many guys are reading each post and getting a handle on what they might be needing or are interested in (or not) for any future posts. One thing it has achieved is delaying me from getting my radar running and uploading and endeavouring to help out. If there are any 'Rules' you might want to get Ulf (Scanhorse) to abide by them. He seems to be able to stick posts almost at random anywhere on the forum and nobody duck-shoves those around. I'll go and take my meds now.
