Got my act together and put the antenna on the roof after work today (Summer light allowed for it)

The 50mile or so gap between kaikoura and woodend now appears to be overlapping with NZWN - YAY! (I think the satellite dish at same level was to blame)

The downside to this, is the amount of low signal traffic I was previously missing from the ATR72 and Dash8s A/C is now streaming in so fast the poor PIC can't keep up with both ADS and Mode-S packets at the same time. ~15 on the go at any 1 peak time now.

The true test comes in a few hours with the Trans-Tasman links. And during the weekend when some AKL-DUD flights should come past.

    Hi All,

I have heard back from the guys at Kinetic telling me that they have repaired my SBS1-ER. Apparently it was faulty. I expect it back here in NZ in the next few days and will get it back on air ASAP. I am confident that my antenna is still performing as before, so coverage should be as before.

    Regards,

    Brent NZCH

Certainly shows your signals boom in more than mine, But there appears to still be a bit of to-n-fro around the outter skirts.

Also highlights my other issue, the clock on the laptop appears to run fast. And causes AC to go backwards in plot until such time it re-syncs

    ZK-FXT txing extended once more.

As per nzradar/NZPM finding a month or so ago, ZK-FXT was txing full details again last night it seems (PST40). That or the SBSs pick it up when my micro is unable to.

Time to mock and ridicule my antennas Not bad for a twisted piece of wire to get as far as I do though.
