  • It's a little ironic. Given where half the components involved in receiving are manufactured.

    And when I refer to broadcast - I mean the planes. Not the users. Users aren't broadcasting. They're uploading or sharing the received data that aircraft are broadcasting.
    it's a requirement for planes to use the system for anti collision.

    • China "cracked down" on data feeders back in 2018, knocking on doors and confiscating equipment. But not the receivers supplied by Chinese flight tracker VariFlight.
