Cool Beta - Detecting Landing/TakeOff Runway Script.

Beta - Detecting Landing/TakeOff Runway Script.

AirNav In the process of improving ANRB data quality they are developing some routines to detect in which runway a specific is landing/takeoff.

Note 1: just change the ICAO code of an airport to get data for that airport.

Perhaps it would be more helpful if this message included a link to the original post of the AirNav forum.

    http://www.airnavsystems.com/forum/i...73869#msg73869

Looks similar to an idea previously suggested by DaveReid before AirNav banned him from its forum.

    From another forum:

"It would require a lot of further refinement/rewriting if it is ever to be considered as a full solution for a professional client."
I read this as saying "Screw all you RadarBox enthusiasts who have spent your dough with us, we couldn't care less"

    Incredible!

Air Nav certainly has this fabulous knack of making themselves look and sound like complete arses.

DaveReid reported it's not working anymore for some unknown reason.
AirNav Systems hasn't said anything about it yet. Unknown if it's ever coming back!
Probably just mark it down for another thing that isn't going be fixed by AirNav Systems.

Haven't looked at this for a while, but the facility now seems to have stopped working completely - the URL in the first post (or substitute any other airport ICAO code) now comes up with "Unknown column 'ar' in 'field list'".

Another one for the bug list ...
