        • Hi,

Clear skies all day on tuesday and didn't want to waste a nice clear day so took the scope to CPT VOR to catch more movements. Unfortunately throughout the morning/afternoon the sky was full with heatwaves and haze and most pics went in the trash . Heatwaves dissapeared in the evening but contrast still low, managed to capture only 4 or 5 nice pics out of nearly 900 frames. "C'est la vie".

                • Airbus contrails

                  Hello,

I´m a newcomer trying to track down flight history
from delayed flight AY 70, arrival HEL Thursday
Apr 11-2013, scheduled arrival 6:10, actual arrival 7:11
(HKG) Hong Kong, HK to (HEL) Helsinki, FI.

I want to see the flight´s arrival history on the flight
radar. Where can I find it after it landed?

Flight AY 70 is an airbus that should leave traces of
contrails behind but it did not show when I photographed
it at 7:00 from the window when it went in for a landing.
Sorry for the poor picture quality. The photo below
shows the plane in relation to the rooftops where I live
so it is easy to determine so you can see the
exact position. I read that Airbus leave contrails but not
                  Boeing. Is that true?

                  Greetings S´

                  • Why are the contrails black?

Reason: photo was taken after sunset.
                        Here is another one:

From the photo it looks too low for contrails to form, contrails typically form above 26,000ft.
