Soaring transfer traffic leads to record month for Copenhagen Airport

A healthy 14% rise in transfer traffic ensured that Copenhagen Airport handled 1.62 million passengers (+6.5%) in February – a new monthly record.

The airport reveals that the upturn in transit passengers was driven by a "significant increase in traffic from Finland", which it claims has helped strengthen its position as the hub of northern Europe.

It wasn't all good news, however, as the gateway experienced a decline in domestic traffic during the month.

"Domestic traffic has grown by about 20% over the past three years due to increased competition and resulting in lower fares," says Carsten Nørland, vice president, sales and marketing for Copenhagen Airports A/S.

    Derfor strejkede sikker*hedspersonalet
