  • Time and positions

Hello I am new here, and I live in the Netherlands,

Someone told me that "Flightradar24" is realtime.
But this morning I saw two condensation lines in the east where I live in Tilburg, and it flew under the radar over Nijmegen.
That's about 70 to 80 km away from Tilburg.
    But it seemed much closer.
How accurate is the position and the time flightradar24.
As I understand it's realtime, and if the positions are correct, you can see so far away.
Hopefully you understand what I mean, my English is not so good

    Regards Robert

The positions will be as accurate as the data transmitted by the aircraft. But some older aircraft use INS rather than GPS and this can cause positional drift of a few miles. And FR24 should be realtime - it is when I check.

If an aircraft is contrailing at altitudes of 30,000 feet and above, you will be surprised how far you can see them, 70-80 km easliy. Tilburg is 64 km from Nijmegen.
