This must be one of the craziest PR stunt I've ever seen.
Listening to and re-broadcasting radio transmissions (including ModeS data) is against the law in many countries and risks drawing attention to a hobby that is "tolerated".
AirNav needs to rethink this PR stunt ASAP. Even its loyal followers agree:

I know we have some readers on the forum that likes to keep track of "Hijacks Squawks" around the world.

FR24 decided to block 7500 alerts after some people have called the police to report a hijack of an aircraft landing in Copenhagen (after an automatic 7500 twitter alert). Now I receive all 7500 alerts on e-mail, and if there is hijack situation we will report it manually. The 7500 alerts are in 98% of the cases pilot errors, 2% technical problems, and 0% hijacks.
