Another crash! 2010 seems to be a bad accident year.
This plane was visible on FR24 on depart from Dubai.
This accident was also the third landing accident on an airport without ILS in 6 weeks (Smolensk, Tripoli, Mangalore).
How many of the 350 lives could have been saved with ILS?

As the visibility was over 6km, visibility was probably not an issue. Mangalore sounds like an airport you probably would prefer to fly visually into anyway, due to its location and the obstacles. Most accidents happen as a combination of several factors, and I'm sure this is no exception. We will see when the accident report is issued.

Now it looks like the pilot was asleep during the flight.
    http://www.watoday.com.au/breaking-n...117-17xbf.html
"Glusica was suffering from sleep inertia after his nap and was disoriented when the plane began its descent at Mangalore airport. The data recorders caught the sound of heavy nasal snoring and breathing, Hindustan Times said."
