I will ask this question in here, it might be the wrong place, if so I apologise.

What Scanner do the members think is a good one or the best one ? There are a lot "on the market", more than when I first started, I do have one of course, but I just wondered which one other members preferred.

    Hi Bill.

These two scanners from Maplins are recommended by spotters from another forum i use, they also recommend rechargeable batteries.

Maplin is back with a huge range of power, computing, imaging & audio products. Visit the electronics specialist. Free UK delivery over £35.

This one is a bit fiddly to set up, but once done it is nice and clear using the ear piece.

Hello Mike, yes I use an "AR 108". It is a bit fiddly as you say, but I get on ok with it now, being "past my sell by date" LOL, now, I got my daughter to set it up for me, she too is into our hobby, in a big way, anyway I love my little scanner.
I have had many over the years, but I must admit this AR108 was a good buy.I got mine new but did not get an ear piece with it though.

        Ar 108

Well apart from the supplier I got my AR 108 from, is there a nationwide outlet such as Maplins or somewhere that I can get an earpiece for it, mine did not come with one, we have several laying around the house, but they all have the wrong jacks on them.

        Anyone any ideas please ?

          Hi Bill .

This company in Borehamwood does mail order and is cheaper than Maplin.

You could ask them would they sell you an extra ear piece, or buy an adapter from Asda or Currys.
