UAL840 blows tyre(s) on departing SYD
UAL840 (SYD-LAX) 747-422 N182UA burst tyre(s) on departing Sydney Airport Runway 34L today at approx. 15:15 local (Approx 04:15 UTC) requiring the runway to be cleared which was unserviceable for a time. The aircraft circled off the coast while dumping fuel until able to return to SYD with a lighter fuel load for landing. Later confirmed by ATC as a 'couple of tryes' which could make for an interesting landing.
