Swedish airliner forced to land in Germany
A cracked cockpit window forced a Swedish plane on its way from Corsica to Copenhagen with 116 people on board to make an emergency landing in Hanover, Germany, the airline said Saturday.
"Around 12:00 pm (1000 GMT) one of our planes was forced to land in Hanover... it was just a crack, not a broken window," Henrik Loefberg of discount airline Malmoe Aviation told AFP, adding the plane was a BAE Systems RJ-100.
He said 111 passengers and five crew members were on board.
The passengers were already being flown home on a replacement plane, Loefberg added.
