Our biggest priority on Flightradar24.com now, is the get a radar on ICELAND. Any help to find a location will be appreciated.
Flightradar24.com will pay for the receiver, antenna, amplifier and installation. Just help us find someone willing to host this on Iceland!

Today is the first day that radar EDDM2 is online and sending data. Just a few hours ago the airport was closed down due to volcanic ash. :-( Currently it is unknown when it will re-open again.

More ash on the way between Ireland and Düsseldorf/Köln today.

Here you can see it better.

What a nightmare for planning fuel, flightcrews and timetables. AF 9 is just coming in over the Canaries on its way from JFK - CDG. And two tracks posted here - at least 800 miles of their Great Circle routes....
the first from Denver to LHR

and this one from Miami to Dusseldorf

Canary island airports are now closed due to ash in airspace. There is still traffic passing above Canary Islands on FL350+
