The WiFi version has no GPS, and exact location is needed for AR, so it could be a localisation problem.

The wifi version DOES have GPS capability, (ie find my ipad, location services etc)

I am at my home location.

It is stuck in this mode.

How do i get out of it ?

Quit the application and run it again.

Explore the world of iPad. Featuring iPad and iPad Pro, and the powerful iPad Air and iPad mini.

                Location:

                WiFi-version: Wi-Fi, Digital compass
WiFi+3G-version: Wi-Fi, Digital compass, Assisted GPS, Cellular

The location service without GPS is some kind of IP-address and/or MAC-address localisation, that can have all from 10 meter to 500 km accuracy.

Still does not answer how to get out of this mode.

And yes have quit and restarted app and its back to same AR mode on restart.

Ipad knows where I am to within a few meters when connected to a network.

Ok, problem is the program only works in portrait mode (and only with home button down) and only in this mode can you see all the controls.

I use the ipad in landscape mode. (ipad is designed to be used at any orientation but the program does not.)

Think a little more work need on app.

Not all apps do work in any orientation. Some apps have some limitations due to some reasons. FR24 uses compass/gps/gyro and this works best in portrait mode.

Agreed but iPad 2 is designed to work in all orientations.

It would be useful if this simple fact about usage was actually written down in instructions or help for app.
