Your graph looks like your gain is low.

Most likely you have better results at 1% to 5% Messages > -3dB
    That's in the first graph.

      Hi Guys!
I also installed the Graphs1090 and it looks pretty cool!
Anyway i also noticed the different plot in the signal section:dump1090-localhost-signal-24h.png

I guess my noise floor is pretty high!
My weakest signal is only -19.7!

So the system stats are just empty?

What system is this? (which operating system, so Raspbian Stretch for example or whatever you put on the sd-card)

            Yes system stats are empty.
Raspberry Pi 3B+ and Raspbian Buster.
ADSB data are working great tho!

              That's strange.

              So empty pictures huh?
              No clue what's happening.

Did you have the receiver project graphs installed before?
Not sure where "could not decode JSON" comes from but it shouldn't have anythign to do with system graphs rather ADS-B graphs.

Do a reboot, wait a minute and show me the log again please.

Oh maybe the system time is set wrong?
              What's the output for:
              date -u

Date is ok, date-u shows the UTC hour.
It worked in the beginning but after a while it stopped and never worked again.
It's been running for about two weeks.
What i really need are ADSB data so for now this stats are enough for me.
I'll reboot and let you know!

You can try deleting the database files in this folder:

                  /var/lib/collectd/rrd/localhost

Delete everything but dump1090-localhost (ADS-B data).

                    Hi!
I uninstalled the software and deleted everything.
Than i had a problem reinstalling it but removing manually "collectd"(purge) did the trick.
Than i changed dump1090-fa with dump1090 in the conf file.
                    Everything is working great now!
There is only one problem with the log:

I have no clue where that's coming from.

                      Everything working?
You can try putting an # in front of the line with URL_978 in the /etc/collectd/collectd.conf and see if that helps.

                        Decommenting the 978 URL worked!

Maybe someone else is having the same issue, who knows... you should put it in your official guide.
Anyway it's a real useful software.

What about the writing data? Any issue with the SD card wearing? Will they occupy a large amount?
                        Cheers and thanks again!

                        P.S.
I have a GitHub repository that includes some kind of METAR web UI. Take a look here:

The wear is usually not a problem.
If you want to reduce the amount of writes, there is a section on that: https://github.com/wiedehopf/graphs1090#graphs1090

The database will be around 20 MB i think.
                          You can check like this:
                          du -sh /var/lib/collectd/rrd/localhost

The size should be static, it doesn't grow.

For me it doesn't complain that loudly if the 978 URL is set and nothing is there.
Are you running pihole on the same pi by chance?
Most people don't check the logs anyway

You see it gets an empty file, so it complains about that.

If it gets no file, it doesn't complain.

Firstly, thanks wiedehopf for all the projects you have made on github for readsb, tar1090 and graphs1090 etc. I am newbie here so please bear with me.
I installed a brand new version of Ubuntu on an old spare computer. I then installed FR24, then readsb, followed by tar1090 and graphs1090.
Q1. I did try installing dump1090 fa - but it does not install on my version (latest) of Ubuntu. Does that make sense? so I installed your readsb which worked
Q2. installed graphs1090, but although I can get to the web page, i just get the the blank template, but no graphs. took a look at your notes but cant find where to start troubleshooting.
Q3. I had FR24 working on an old Raspberrypi which finally died which is why I am using Ubuntu on an old PC to do this. One thing I noticed that is different, is that when using dump1090 on the Raspberrypi, the planes looked as if they were moving smoothly and constantly on the map. With my new setup, they appear to stall for longer without moving and then do a jump to a new location. Any ideas?

Again, thanks for all your scripts etc!
