readsb / graphs1090 should work just fine.
Solutions to common problems using dump1090 variants and ADS-B feeders - wiedehopf/adsb-wiki

You might want to install this: https://github.com/wiedehopf/adsb-sc...nd-dump1090-fa

Just rerun the graphs1090 install maybe?
On the graphs1090 page there is something in regards to troubleshooting ... what to post when reporting an issue.

If you can reinstall the PC with Ubuntu 22.04 ?
If it's an old Ubuntu ... not sure how well stuff will work.

thanks you for your prompt response wiedehopf! installed fresh Ubuntu 22.04, re-installed FR24 and installed readsb. Tar1090 works great! All working fine. Then installed graphs. seems to be a missing package? Here is the error. any help much appreciated. I did some googling about this..but gave up.

            My bad try again ....
not sure why Ubuntu doesn't have the collectd-core package anymore but whatever.
            Workaround should be in place.
            Ubuntu is annoying

He could just apt install collectd ... no need to do dpkg stuff .... please.
The error the 2nd time was just me forgetting an || true in the script.
If it fails to install collectd-core it just installs collectd ....

Anyhow i don't want to solve it for one person but everyone using the script, gonna be more people using Ubuntu 22 going forward

After installing "collectd-core" by "dpkg", ran the graph install again
                      Then checked, got this:
                      waiting for collectd to start.

                        SOLVED

                        (1) Purged Debian packages installed

                        Code:
                        abcd@ubuntu22:~$ sudo dpkg --purge collectd-core

                        sudo rm collectd-core_5.12.0-7_amd64.deb
                        (2) Downloaded & installed collectd-core from Ubuntu packages
                        Code:
                        abcd@ubuntu22:~$ wget http://mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu/pool/universe/c/collectd/collectd-core_5.12.0-9_amd64.deb

                        abcd@ubuntu22:~$ sudo dpkg -i collectd-core_5.12.0-9_amd64.deb
                        (3) Ran Graph install script

                        All working now

It seems Ubuntu 22 doesn't have collectd. No clue why they would choose to remove it -.-

                          Sorry for suggesting it.
Not sure how long abcds solution above will work .... let's hope it keeps working for you.

I've put something similar in my install script that checks for Ubuntu 22 and will install that package using dpkg .... it's not really a solution but let's hope it works for most people with Ubuntu 22 .....
Really annoyed Ubuntu 22 doesn't have this package.

Yes, Ubuntu 22 does not have it.
The package I suggested to install (collectd-core_5.12.0-9_amd64.deb) is from Ubuntu Package archive

ok it is now working thanks to you both. this is what I did. Re ran wiedehopf script, but still got errors. So I then followedabcd567instructions and then re-ran the graphs1090 script and it all worked smoothly. Thank you so much for your time and effort and for all you do in this field of flight radar.
