I have the old exterior weatherized box that Cable TV usually uses that I was planning on mounting my Pi and RTL dongle in an exterior location (depending on how high I can get my antenna and how far the coax goes).
In anticipation of this, I purchased a Gigabit Power Over Ethernet Splitter. It reports to "Delivers regulated 5 volt, 10 watts up to 328 feet".

Has anyone tried this before?
Will it introduce noise?
Thanks in advance.
