This should be good for a bit of discussion !

Has anyone else noticed the new look when selecting an aircraft - the left hand side box has an updated look and layout.

I just clicked on QF3 ( circled over water ) then on SIA242 ( circled over land ) and got some current data for SIA242 and the Recent Flight data for the aircraft flying the QF3 route.

    FR24 18FEB2019 0927UTC.jpg

Tested on a few different plane icons with the same result. Requires a refresh to correct.

The only flight and aircraft data I can see has been available in that panel for years - it just looks different today. Largely useless rubbish because often it is wrong.

      Hrm

      Country of reg added.

      And HEX removed...

It's almost like the HEX region check spreadsheet I uploaded (and magically disappeared from my post) has been utilised to lookup the Country table since I did some legwork - hah

Be funny if it was, cause the VP reg's were wrong. New edition is much betterer

Oh, holdup. Theres a different panel down the bottom for the ADSB hex/source

You know what HAS gone though... The feeder Code!

        lol. Wait for the complaints.

I was going to suggest the release updates thread be updated. But that vanished some time ago sadly.

It also doesn't scale font/panel size dependant on browser window..

So those in the dark ages or using tablets (not in mobile browser mode) are about to get a worse experience

Hex is still there, down the bottom, left of squawk.

At last the radar code has gone

And the "More" link has some goodies.

                  Oblivian,

Why has the radar feed site data gone? Can it be brought back. This is my hobby and I take numerous SBS receivers with me when I travel, (pilot) as well as my home base.

The SBS receiver were identified as T-xxxx ? please bring it back
                  Thanks,

                  Traveller

Nothing to do with me. I'm just a user/uploader too that happened to notice it.

Was always in their long term plan as it causes so many issues with people asking 'why don't I see my radar code..'

I suggest reaching out to their contact page (many others will be too) for any concerns.

.. but the Blog has details of how it shows a random code of a current feeder ....

Maybe its going to be there but not yet switched on ... a documented non-feature !

It's possible but history suggests the code is gone, forever.

What's the value of a randomly slected code? None.

Well to my eyes it is switched on - it's just a PITA to find depending on your screen format. Click to expand the Data Source panel, don't click "Read more"" but just below those words is the feeder code. I know the codes pretty well in various parts of Oz and the dozen or so planes I've checked are showing a code I would expect for their positions. Despite what perennial grouches like Anmer might say, there are users that like the feeder codes and some of us do not live in places where there are hundreds (check it) feeders in tiny countries like Switzerland, Belguim and the Netherlands. In many parts of Australia a single feeder may be the only one in a 300 km radius so the code does mean something - not the least of which it means the difference between real data and FR24's often crappy dashed lines.

I could have sworn it wasn't there even scrolling down the other day.

Possibly related to the 'responsive' changes. (which don't seem terribly when the font is MASSIVE on a 27")

                              Finally fixed the fleets links!
