  • Polar Plot - Distances

    Folks,

Don't quite understand the Polar Plot chart.

It says my maximum distance is 43NM but if I select >200 it shows one signal (or plane or hit), similarly if I select 200 it again shows 1

What is it referring to if it says my maximum distance is 43NM?

Hi Geffers, I'm exactly wondering about the same topic. Invented with my colleagues a lot of "working hypothesises", but noone is "real logical".

I'm still a wee bit baffled but it is not a major issue, I'm more interested in close by traffic rather than distance.

        Reliable maximum distance.

Probably requires a certain number of positions at that distance.
So fluke positions or even just plane decoding mistakes don't increase max range.

        At least that's my guess.

Absolutely, one erroneous report does not a coverage diagram make.
