  • Fr24feed versions

    @Khan,

There should be a sticky post with the latest fr24feed version, known bugs, fixed bugs since last release etc.

All the feeders I manage have autoupdate turned OFF, so I need to update them when there is a reason.

(There are 2 reasons for this, 1: autoupdate is incompatible with the read-only file system, and 2: last year the autoupdate to the flawed versions broke many feeders, but those that we blocked autoupdate on kept working)

Pushed rather hard to get something similar done about this time last year. Based on my own ideals that it would be beneficial and informative (and also help fend off new issues as they arose)

Appears to have been forgotten :/

This thread will contain release notes for all the new features and tweaks that are added to FR24 receiver and data sharing software!

You can see I pepped it up when I remembered.

And it had the odd changelog dumped

That was partly me/my suggestion. Moderator and above can still post in them.

But it was being loaded up with junk posts and questions so we locked it down.
My rationale thought behind the area was a collated location to address that were being burried elsewhere. That one in particular to an 1-way 'announcement' sorta thing. And if from official channels/peeps and not just guesswork contributors *COUlikemeGH* (I stuck my nose in in the odd timely absense) And the others genpop input 'request' open ones for input.

I understand it needs to be closed to the public, but FR24 seems to have forgotten to keep it updated. And where is it, I can't find it among the stickys.. ?

Aha, it's in the "feature request" section. I never look there, (maybe Khan doesn't either..)

I consider that section to be about the web site. All info on feeder SW should imo be in this section, "Flightradar24 (feeding data to Flightradar24) "

Or just continue in this sticky:

Oooh! Maybe it's worth asking them to fix the way they do NTP syncs again...

                          fr24feed --version

                          This should show you.

Running the install script should update the version i think.

You could also consider starting with a fresh sd-card, either the pi24 image or something that has some more options for viewing the local data: https://github.com/wiedehopf/adsb-wi...ADS-B-receiver
