    1090MHz antenna and Filter...

    Hello to everyone!

I'm building a Raspberry Pi Flightradar Feeder.
I am going to use a 1090MHz antenna at around 5dB.

Do you think is a good idea to use and a 1090MHz bandpass filter together with this antenna or its not mandatory?
The improvement between a stand alone antenna and an antenna together with a filter is huge or just slightly better?

    Kind regards,
    John

By the way... can I use the original Raspberry Pi (2011.12 version) as a Flightradar feeder?
Or its too slow and unable to receive multiple planes simultaneously?
