I started feeding on one site data from a RaspberryPi over a cellphone data plan with 1GB hard limit. I see that the usage is high, and not sure if it will make it for a whole month.
I was wondering if there is a way to implement a compression scheme for the data. Obviously it would have to be supported at both ends of the link. Maybe something lik ethis?
And:
I am not sure if this is possible to apply for a real-time application such ADS-B with MLAT?
If not, how about making it avail for non-MLAT, because in my case it seems that I will need to turn off MLAT anyway to save data?
