  • Hauppauge DVB-T sticks?

    Hi,

I'm trying to see if I have something that might work....

I have two USB DVB-T Sticks Both from Hauppauge. One is WinTV MiniStick (55009 LF Rev A1G3) the other is a WinTv-HVR 900. Can one of them be used?

I tried to set it up on a Raspberry pi 3, with solution 1 via SSH to my pi. I can now connect to my ip:8754 and see that page.

    It says:
    FR24 Link: Connected via UDP
    FR24 Radar Code: T-EKCC35
    Local IP(s): 192.168.1.42
    Aircraft Tracked:
    (ModeS & ADS-B) 0
    Aircraft Uploaded: N/A
    Receiver: dvbt, Connected
    MLAT running: N/A

Why doesn't it track and why does fr24-page show "No devices found" when I go to activate a new receiver?

Let me know what info you might need to guide/help me. ;-)

BTW. it's the first thing I do on my Raspberry.

    Thanks in advance.

    I very much doubt it.

TV sticks from Hauppauge cost more for a reason, they come with a specialised chipset designed specifically for TV and associated frequency.

Not an open RTL (realtek hence the name) chipset and tuner that has a wide range and can be tuned like the cheap SDRs

Put it in your PC, RUn dump1090 and see if they are detected. Most have a Xceive tuner - wont work.

You can easily test your dongle for compatibility by method given in following thread

Is My DVB-T RTL SDR Dongle Healthy?
Use Option 2: Dongle plugged into Raspberry Pi

It won't work. I tried on my Hauppauge DVB-T Stick years ago.
