  • Newbie problem understanding On/Offline in data feed

Hi - Newbie to FR24 & RaspberryPi. Please a question - My statistics page on Windows computer shows status as offline yet "service/fr24feed/status" on Pi shows as active. What is the relationship between these two Thanks, Wayne

    Active doesn't necessarily mean online

Active means it appears all the functions needed to upload are running, however if your stick is not found or has an issue it will be in a boot loop attempting to be started by the core component. Or you have no data to send, it will not reach the server and go 'online'

Try some of the common commands listed and look for the example outputs to help diagnose

It seem to go offline if there have been no reports or hits received for a while. That might be about programmed to be 5 or 10 minutes per my observations. As soon as your receiver detects a plane it seems to immediately go online. It seems to be this online status that counts in the score for number of hours online per 30 days (720 hours). I'm currently managing to be online about 12 hours per day.
