Raspberry Pi 3 - integrated WiFi - not working

    Hello,

has anyone had success using RPI3 with integrated WiFi to connect wirelessly as a reporting box? mine works great through Ethernet, but I can not get it to work with the integrated WiFi. If anyone out there has had success - I'd love to know how you did it. I'd like to get my box closer to window where the reception is much much better.

I built from a fresh download from the FR24 site just yesterday (7/9/16)

    does FR24 support RPI3 yet?

    Thanks,
    Brian.

    Hi bbt95762,

    my fr24 is running on a rpi3, so that´s not a problem.
Is the wifi on your rpi3 not working in principle or just in combination with the fr24-software?

    Hello majo,

yes, with the ethernet (wired) connection, the fr24 runs fine on my RPI3
however, with the WiFi - no connection.
I purchased the RPI3 for this purpose, and have not done much with it other than FR24.

    Thanks,
    Brian.

If you check your rpi3 wifi settings following this basic tutorial we will hopefully find your problem:

    Hi Majo,

That thread doesn't really cover the FR24 build, which utlizes jessie light (and no GUI) - but thanks

    What a pity.
But I still believe that the problem is not with fr24-software but the the rpi3 in general.
Since I have no experience with jessie light I hope that another member here could help!

I just took a quick look on the firmware-files in the PI24 jessie lite release. They are dated february 2016. These are old ones. Go to: https://github.com/RPi-Distro/firmwa...brcm80211/brcm and download brcmfmac43430-sdio.bin and brcmfmac43430-sdio.txt . Place the files in /lib/firmware/brcm/ on your PI and reboot. This might help...

    Cheers
    Maik

    Hi Mainie

thanks, tried, but already had those files (I'd done an update and dist-upgrade) which must have brought the new files in (same files sizes)

    Thanks,
    Brian.

Hi Brian, when you run the command sudo iwlist wlan0 scan is the Pi detecting any frequencies?
