  • Running the DUMP1090 from a Raspi on an UMTS connection.

    Hi experts here,

My potential data source is a DUMP1090 program running on a Raspi that has only an UMTS connection.
Feeding to FR24 is no problem.

I would however like to use the DUMP1090 feed with a remote VirtualRadar application.

The problem is that usually UMTS connections do not provide full public IPv4 internet addresses, but are located behind the NAT of the provider.
That makes it practically impossible to fetch the 30002 stream from outside.

Do you know a way to push the info to a hosted server? And a PHP code to act as a serving routine there?
Alternatively, a way to get the fed info to FR24 back?

    Thank you for any help.

You could try running a reverse tunnel between the Pi and your host computer using SSH. Or even Netcat. Google reverse ssh tunnel.
