    • Adding the weather layer is a good start, but we want to see clouds radar info overlayed on the map you already have, not those gay looking weather icons.

      Radar Data here for Australia:
Use the Australia weather radars here by Weatherzone. Multiple views available including a rain radar, cloud cover, forecasts & more, throughout Australia.

      and here

      • Hi Mike
I think it has been suggested before.,How about the trail being up dated with
        the movement of the aircraft.
Im a keen fan of the SIA 26 / 25, as I travelled in both of them on the FRA-SIN
in 2000 and the SIN -FRA in 2001., and the amount of times that I must refresh
the start button , then double click on the aircraft (again)..,just for the trail is a
        bit confusing..

        Please Please..

        • PS.
That was my trip to New Zealand, but the radar over Aussie land
(isnt good enough)and not at all over NZ.
So I cant follow Aussie and New Zealand as they have no radar., only
          Kiwi's.

            • One thing that is rather fustrating is when an aircraft suddenly goes off radar (By flying out of a reciever's range etc) Obviously it's impossible to track the flight path, but it would still be good to be able to see the aircraft's details (as there have been many times I have went to click on a specific a/c but it has gone off the map and I have not been able to see what it is) So is there any way perhaps to show a hollow symbol/different color where the plane was last seen so you can click on it to find out the details, that lasts for just a few refreshes? Also with the option to turn this on or off.

              Just a thought

              Thanks

Yes its a big continent, but most people live close to the ocean. Yes there is lots ADS-B but users are not willing to share their data.

Australia will soon have an ADS-B sateliite that will start by covering all of australia, NZ, Asia, which I will have access too. then Europe & Amercias

I will post my new 3D flight weather tracking website soon folks...and yes it will be free at first then subscription.

                Article on ADS-B Satellite http://avstop.com/news_jan_2010/faa_...e_tracking.htm

so this website will be a thing of the past soon. Good luck Mike.....
