  • RTL2832/R820T I think i messed up

I got my R820T USB dongle today.

As I was eager to get started with everything I connected it to my computer just to realise the instructions here on FR24 told me not do so.

I've removed the drivers that windows choosed and have also changed some windows settings so that windows asks me what to do when connecting new hardware. However I think that Windows installs drivers even though because the device has been connected before therefore it chooses something it think will work.

I've tried to reinstall the drivers with Zadig but whenever I start RTL1090 and press start it says "No RTLSDR Device found".

I've tried pretty much everything but can't get it to work properly.

    What are your suggestions?

    Yes, I know, I'm stupid.

Edit: Misplaced thread, sorry. A moderator may move it to a more proper part of the forum.

I followed the instructions but I can't stop Windows from installing the drivers once I've rebooted? How do you do that?

If i right click on the icon nothing happens. I can just open up a window with no option other than to watch the process.

Make sure you don't have the Dongle in when you re-boot your PC.

Once the computer has booted insert the Dongle and stop it installing the TV Drivers when the window pops up.

            Then follow the installation guide.

This is what I've been trying to do but Windows won't let me abort the installation of the drivers. I simply can't stop it.

When that happens, I'm back on square one. I think that's the only problem. Otherwise there isn't any problem to get rid of the drivers that Windows chooses automatically.
