  • @STR_EDDS:
Thanks, will give it a try. I already have OTG cable.

It will be useful for all forum members if it is ok with you to post pictures/sketches/construction tips of your successful Franklin.

        • also just try to use the Linux feeder on it, and see what it says. Chances are the CPU is a ARM something and it should work as if you are a Pi or a BBB just depends on what android uses to run daemons (systemd etc..)

provided you can get to the command prompt of course.

          • Well Google developers used a customized Linux kernel for Android as a pre-built, already maintained kernel to start with, so they don’t have to write their own kernel... but that's about it. Full Linux distributions like Ubuntu will contain many other pieces of software, such as shell utilities, Xorg graphical server, GNOME desktop, etc. Android does have a shell like the one you’ll find on Linux but you have to install the Android Terminal Emulator to gain access to the terminal environment.

            • in that case possibly easier to SSH into it, providing you can get the files onto it.

How would you feel if you have to go up this tower for snow removal/maintenance/repair?

                    • That a Canadian tower ?
I will opt to (1) build the mother of all bonfires at the base (lets hope the cables are in some kind of fireproof piping or trunking) and (2) source a WW2 style flame thrower !
