  • Happy new year all.

hopefully just that piece of hardware and whatever software that runs it is all that is needed. Worst case you use the TV dongle as analyser, but that hardware will solve you source signal problem.

    • happy new year to all .. and abcd567 hi sir ! im thinking to add inline amp to my 1090mhz antenna so i bought a LNB from local vendor and its got 2xR24(2SC3356) and some stupid circuit and i tried with rtl and made my own power injector using 600ohm resistor instead of coil since i donno how to make it (help here also appreciated). and started my sdrsharp to see difference.. but to my wonder it was the same even i gave the power to amp or not.. no gain at all.. so i dismantled it and secured R24 resistors. so can you please provide a small amp circuit for R24 (2SC3356). searched internet but couldn't find one :/ thanks,.

        Hi charan!
I could not find any amplifier circuit for 2SC3356 transistor, but found two circuits using BFP420 Transistor.

I don't understand why you purchased Satellite Dish LNB, and then from it's parts want to make LNA for ADS-B? You can directly purchase satellite in Line amplifier cheaper than satellite dish LNB. I am sure in Line amplifiers are available in satellite dish antenna shops in your area. In case you canot find in stores in your neighborhood, try eBay India links below.

Some tips for assembling the amplifier with very small (SMT) components:
            (1) capacitors are damaged by too much heat when soldering iron is applied for too long when they are soldered and therefore the gain drops too much due to very small serial capacitor that rests.
            (2) a bad soldering can create a short-circuit.
            (3) RF design include proper layout. If layout is not carefully done, performance can be poor. (You don't have to worry about it as layout design is already done for schematics I have given in the last post. Visit their web pages for details of circuit board layout)

To make the printed circuit board accurately according to design is a tricky job, particularly if you dont have proper tools. The pcb can be made by a knife only using cut & scrach, but to achieve accuracy by this simple method is difficult.

Try local satellite dish stores in your area. These may have low priced satellite amplifers. The eBay prices were high because sellers were located in USA. Try these Indian manufacturers near your city:

                Chennai: http://m.indiamart.com/proddetail.php?i=6850073662

                Bangaluru: http://m.indiamart.com/proddetail.php?i=7113240312

New Delhi (Indian Rs 400): http://m.indiamart.com/proddetail.php?i=5675435873

can i make the above provided circuit like this? i have this kind of pcb's available.. and thats a J-Pole antenna and made 4 rounds of the default RG174 to work as balun.. will it work? (i got little more range like 2nmi) and this antenna is giving the same result as 8-1/4 COCO antenna.. so is this okay? or coco should have more gain?

I dont see why not, its never going to be pretty but it should work.

Now purchase or make a power inserter & DC blocker. I think you are skilled enough to make these. What you need is 2 Coax splitters, 2 capacitor any value from 100pF to 470pF, and 1 inductor any value from 2 uH to 10 uH.

yes sir i can make that power inserter! and i've seen your pictures where you specified those splitters and parts. really thanks for that sir, helping me a lot..! i already have 100pf capacitors just need to buy inductor ! once its done ill update you on my build...!
