First try an easy to make a DIY antenna before you go ahead with purchasing a commercial antenna. This DIY antenna ca be built with negligble cost.

QUICK SPIDER - No Soldering, No Connector

Made from RG6 Coax Cable (the common Coax Cable used for TV & Dish antennas)

Note: To connect this DIY antenna to DVB-T dongle, you will need a short (15cm or 30cm) pigtail cable with F-Female connector at one end and MCX-Male connector at the other end (see photos below, choose either straight mcx or 90 deg bend mcx)

    Antenna in the attic

    Hi!

I just got my raspberry pi working with a dongle and a basic magnetic antenna.

I am now looking at buy a new antenna to get some proper range. However we live in a old cultural house in the country side so cant really mount anything outside.
I therefore plan to mount an antenna in our attic.

Looking for any suggestions for a good antenna that would work well?
Working...
