Thank I will try that. Right now it is running fine as a manually started task and feeding to the network with stats. I am T-VHST154 by the way.

One last Question - can someone point me in the direction of getting a fancy "radar" like display on my PC? I guess it sets the Pi as a web server somehow and superimposes the FR24feed data onto a map? I did try and add the --net-http-port 8080 blah blah blah to the 1090 dump start arguments but when I went to the "page" it just showed black background and no other information.

I have seen screenshots of them but how to get started?

If you have Pi24 image (which has dump1090-mutability EB_VERSION), then:

      (1) In web browser, go to address IP-of-Pi:8754/settings.html and add parameter --net in "Process Arguments" field, save settings, restart software.

      (2) In your browser go to address IP-of-Pi/dump1090/gmap.html

Can I feed, using same receiver and Pi, to Flightaware too?

            YES

            STEP-1:
In web browser, go to address IP-of-Pi:8754/settings.html and add parameter --net in "Process Arguments" field, save settings, restart software.

            STEP-2:
            Install Flightaware's data feeder "piaware":
            Code:
            wget https://flightaware.com/adsb/piaware/files/packages/pool/piaware/p/piaware-support/piaware-repository_3.8.1_all.deb

            sudo dpkg -i piaware-repository_3.8.1_all.deb

            sudo apt-get update

            sudo apt-get install piaware

            sudo piaware-config allow-auto-updates yes

            sudo piaware-config allow-manual-updates yes
