How to expand RPi installation with other possibilities

I have installed the FR24 image on my RPi, bought a good antenna and I am up and running pretty well (still need to go on the roof, but already at about 100nm).

I would like to run my own webserver on the PI that shows a map wit all received aircraft visible on that map. I believe dump1090 does do that??. But I am very worried to destroy the running FR24 installation. So my question is: If I have used the FR24 image to install it on a RPi, what to do to get other stuff running to host for example a website with a map showing my own received aircraft (with dump1090?).
