  • 365nm Spike

Hi, I am new to FR24 so please forgive my ignorance on certain matters.

Tonight whilst examining my data, I noticed a 365nm spike to the South West, which is from my Location, North Africa... now as I thought I understood the limits of ADS-B reception, it has a peak of around 400km due to the curvature of the earth, but 365nm is a staggering 676.98km....!!!!!

Any idea or thoughts on why this occurred?

And anything over 300 is ignored unless allowed by FR specifically.

Thanks for the response, popped over to read the other thread.

As a new user using the FR24 Kit, I don't think I have my antenna position quite right yet, but since running over the last 4 days the max I normally get is around the 200-220nm mile distance, and this is South East, again over the Med to the tip of North East Africa instead of the North West picking up flights from Alicante, Madrid, Barcelona, Murcia etc. flying out to Africa and the Middle East.

As its the first anomaly I have seen, will have to keep a look out for others to see if I can pinpoint why it's occurring.
