  • No more flightradar24 on windows mobile devices!?

Since skyfire shutdown service for windows mobile there is no flightradar24 anymore on windows mobile based phones.
Opera, IE, they all can't deal with it. Maybe there's some browser out there who can?

    Please let me know.

We are working hard on Version 2.0 of FR24. I think we will have a beta ready in about 1 week, and an official release about 2 weeks later.

The new version is based on Google Maps API V3, current version is based on Google Maps API V2. From what I have seen API V3 is optimized for mobile devices, so I hope it will be possible to run FR24 V2 on most mobile phones with descent processor power and memory. We will find out when it's released.

      Hi
Skyfire has been switched back on until 31/DEC/2010 ( it sometimes takes 3 retry's before it connects).

Or you can use Uzard browser which works on WinMo in a similar way to Skyfire:

If you are using Skyfire, go to the top of screen, to left of map options click on 'Jump To Area' then wait until the page has loaded.
Next move to the centre of the screen and you will see a box with a list of area's,
then click on Turkey and Bulgaria wait for the page to load then click on the 'X' to clear the box in the centre of the screen.
Then you can move around that area using your cursor or the control on top left of the map.
It takes a bit of time to master until you get used to it. If you are using Uzard Browser it would be similar to use.

Well, thanks a lot Speedbird1960 for your help.. actually, I started using Uzard following your advise and seems to be working just fine as you described it. However, I am still unable to establish a connection on Skyfire though.

            Thx again

Glad you got it working Cedarjet.

As for Skyfire i have been using it today and it's taking about 10 re-trys before it connects and sometimes it cuts you off after about 10 minutes, which means you have start your browsing session again.

Yes, Uzard is working fine on my HTC! Thanks for that hint!
It's a real altenative to Skyfire. Okay, the usability is not that good, but I can deal with it.

Hoping for a clear sky ...

                Cheers
